Since, its establishment in 1989, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia-Nepal (AMDA-Nepal) has been a key player in advancing healthcare in Nepal. As a chapter of AMDA-International, Japan, AMDA-Nepal is dedicated to humanitarian, non-profit initiatives with a mission to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged and marginalized individuals for a better quality of life.
Siddhartha Children & Women Hospital, established in November 1998, exemplifies collaborative efforts through Public Private Partnership. Supported by various entities, including HMG/Nepal, Butwal Sub-metropolitan City, FNCCI, and AMDA, the hospital, named Siddhartha, specializes in caring for children and women, becoming a vital healthcare hub outside the capital city.
In a forward-thinking move, AMDA Nepal established the AMDA Institute of Health Sciences (AIHS) in 2023 as a non- profit organization, approved by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). Aligned with Siddhartha Children & Women Hospital, AIHS is focused on producing middle-level health professionals, offering programs in PCL Nursing, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Diploma in General Medicine (Health Assistant), each with 40 seats. This initiative reflects a commitment to evolving healthcare education and preparing skilled professionals for the future.

- AIHS, Butwal, is affiliated with CTVET (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training).
- Accredited by Nepal Nursing Council, Nepal Health Professional Council, and Nepal Pharmacy Council.
- Seat Allotment:
- AIHS allots 40 seats annually for each faculty, including PCL Nursing, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Diploma in General Medicine.
