My name is Gaurav Raya, I chose nursing at an early age because I have always wanted to help people and serve humanity. I deeply respect this profession for its dedication to providing compassionate care to patients. From, a young age, I have been inspired by the commitment and responsibility that nurses demonstrate in improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. I believe that nursing is not only a profession but also a calling that allows me to make a meaningful contribution to society. After completing my nursing education, my goal is to become a skilled, responsible, and ethical nursing professional. I aim to work in hospitals, clinics, and community health settings to gain practical experience and provide quality care to patients. I also plan to pursue higher studies in nursing in order to enhance my knowledge, specialize in critical areas of healthcare, and contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession in my country. I feel proud, confident, and motivated after choosing AMDA Institute of Health and Science as my dream institute. I am confident that the institute's experienced teachers, modern facilities, and structured curriculum will provide me with the guidance and support necessary to develop strong theoretical knowledge, practical skills and professional discipline. My name is Drishti, and I’ve always been passionate about caring for people and building a meaningful career In Health Science. Choosing AMDA Institute of Health Science, Damak was one of the best decisions I made because of its supportive learning environment, experienced faculty, and strong focus on practical skills. During my time here, I’ve gained not only knowledge but also confidence and practical skills that prepare me for real-world health care setting. The classes, clinical exposure, and overall atmosphere have really helped me grow. I’m proud to be a part of AMDA and grateful for the opportunities and encouragement it continues to give me.

It is with great
pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the AMDA
Institute of Health Sciences (AIHS), Damak. Since its inception in 1996, AIHS
has remained committed to producing competent and compassionate health
professionals who contribute meaningfully to the well-being of individuals and
communities, both in Nepal and beyond.
AMDA Nepal
established the AMDA Health Manpower Development Center under AMDA Hospital,
Damak with the approval of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational
Training (CTEVT), to meet the growing demand for middle-level health human
resources. Initially, TSLC-level programs such as Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)
and Medical Lab Technology (Lab Assistant) were launched. The Community Medical
Assistant (CMA) course was introduced in 1997. In 2008, we took a significant
step forward by launching the Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL)/Diploma in
Nursing (Staff Nurse) program, followed by our rebranding as the AMDA Institute
of Health Sciences (AIHS) in 2012.AIHS received recognition from CTEVT as the
best institution in the Eastern Development Region during its 26th anniversary
in 2012. Building on this foundation, we launched the PCL/Diploma in General Medicine
(Health Assistant) in 2018. In 2022, the TSLC-level programs (ANM, Lab
Assistant, and CMA) were upgraded to diploma-level programs in Medical
Laboratory Technology, Radiography, and Physiotherapy.
Today, AIHS
proudly offers 5 comprehensive 3 year diploma programs affiliated with CTEVT:
Nursing, General Medicine (Health Assistant), Certificate in Medical Laboratory
Technology (CMLT), Diagnostic Radiography and Physiotherapy
At AIHS, we
believe education must go beyond academics. We place a strong emphasis on
character development, professional ethics, and community service. Through a
blend of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, we strive
to cultivate leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility in our students.
Looking ahead,
we are dedicated to enhancing our academic environment by expanding educational
services, upgrading infrastructure, and promoting research. Our vision is to
establish AIHS as a center of excellence in health sciences education and
community service in Nepal.
