Prof. Sunu Dulal currently serves as the Chairperson of AMDA Nepal. As a founding member of AMDA Nepal, Prof. Dulal has held various executive positions, including Executive Member, Treasurer, and Vice President. He notably served as Project Director for the Bhutanese Refugees Project (1994-96) and as Medical Coordinator for the AMDA Angola Project under the AMDA International Multinational Medical Mission, UNHCR supported project for refugee and internally displaced people in Angola (1997-1999). Professionally, Prof. Dulal is an Ophthalmologist dedicated to teaching and supporting blindness prevention programs in developing countries such as Angola, Djibouti, Cambodia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, and Bangladesh. His passion for educating medical students has been recognized with the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO). Additionally, the Cambodian Government honoured him with the Royal Order of Monisaraphon-Chevalier Medal for his efforts in reducing preventable blindness in Cambodia through human resource training. Prof. Dulal is the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Pokhara Fishtail and a life member of both the Nepal Red Cross Society and Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh.
